State Highlights
This year, the 2014 Digital Learning Report Card features individual State Policy Profiles, examining some of the 422 pieces of digital learning legislation enacted over the past four years. - In 2014-2015, schools will administer many of their elementary, middle and high school assessments online.
- To support school districts in the transition to technology-rich schools, the Louisiana Department of Education develops a technology footprint for each parish district indicating their level of technology readiness.
- The Department provides districts with various supports to achieve technology readiness including support applying for additional federal money, developing a long term technology plan, and maximizing shared contracts.
- The most recent Technology Footprint includes: key improvements made in technology across the state since the last footprint was released; a profile page has been created for each district to highlight where each district stands in terms of device readiness, network readiness and infrastructure readiness; a complete analysis with every participating school in the state includes the readiness of each school and specific guidance on what steps a school should take to achieve readiness; a description of all the key supports available from the Department for districts.
